Bold Design Meets Intelligent Engineering
The electric G-Class preserves the classic angular silhouette and hallmark design elements, such as the round headlights, upright windshield, and prominent indicators – while introducing refined enhancements for aerodynamics and efficiency. Features such as a slightly raised bonnet, air curtains integrated into the rear wheel arches, a spoiler lip on the roof, and the black-panel radiator grille with animated LED light bands distinguish the all-electric variant from its predecessors.
Advanced Interior & Immersive Off-Road Tech
The interior seamlessly blends luxury and functionality, a nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, and MANUFAKTUR open-pore grey oak wood trim elements. The MBUX infotainment system, equipped with dual 12.3-inch displays, provides a premium digital experience, complemented by the MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment System, smartphone integration, temperature-controlled cup holders, KEYLESS-GO, and the Burmester® 3D surround sound system.

Built on a modified and reinforced ladder-frame chassis, the G 580 with EQ Technology is powered by four individually controlled electric motors, delivering a total output of 587 hp and 1,164 Nm of torque. The high-voltage battery, integrated into the ladder frame, offers a usable capacity of 116 kWh, enabling a driving range of up to 473 km (WLTP). This advanced individual-wheel drive system—an industry first for mass production—unlocks exceptional off-road capabilities. Among these are G-TURN, which allows the vehicle to rotate almost on the spot in loose terrain; G-STEERING, which enables a significantly tighter turning radius during off-road maneuvers; and Offroad Crawl, a feature that maintains steady low-speed momentum across uneven surfaces. The G 580 also retains a gradeability of up to 100%, lateral stability on inclines up to 35 degrees, and achieves a fording depth of 850 mm – surpassing even its conventionally powered counterparts.
