Trump or Biden?!??
The US election challenge took the American society by a storm which is spreading in ever-widening circles. US is in real quandary over what is to come, namely after Trump sprung his positive Covid19-test on the hectic political scene.
Future Promises
Donald Trump
Trump’s second term agenda is centered around jobs, taxes, and economy. Trump assured Americans that he would always keep America’s economy afloat just as he did until the spread of Coronavirus. Trump pledged to embark on an agenda of everlasting cut to the payroll taxes for Social Security and Medicare. However, some people believe that this a tough row to hoe because as the famous saying goes: “There are only two certain things in life: death and taxes.”
Trump uttered a heavy message that hinged on law and order as his foremost priorities, stressing that will not let things slide as they did during The George Floyd Protests that swept over US during last summer. Furthermore, Trump expressed his keenness to knit the whole country together and defend police forces by imposing more penalties for police attacks and hiring more police officers.
Joe Biden
Biden is hailed by former Obama voters who await the comeback of the good old days. As a diehard Democrat, Biden expressed his unwavering determination to cancel Trump’s 2017-bill of tax cuts; democrats never ceased to backlash the republicans’ strategy to give a massive tax cut to corporations, arguing that it will only exacerbate robbery and inflation. Additionally, Biden reflected on the importance of forging America’s connections with NATO countries.
Biden seems all for environment protection as he vowed to take action against fossil fuel companies and other polluters who encroached on our environment. This goes against Trump’s 2016-pledge to rejuvenate coal industry, which he undertook at a rally in West Virginia under the slogan “Trump Digs Coal.” Biden stated that he will also renew Paris Climate Accord – a global agreement rescinded by Trump. Furthermore, Biden pointed out that a key part of his upcoming plan is to halt the spread of Coronavirus.
A Battle of Wills
Biden criticized his opponent, stressing how President Trump paid little or no federal income taxes for years unlike most people. In his defense, Trump deflected Biden’s accusations, saying: “The Fake News Media, just like Election time 2016, is bringing up my Taxes & all sorts of other nonsense … I paid many millions of dollars in taxes but was entitled, like everyone else, to depreciation & tax credits.”
“All is Fair in Love and War” and Elections!
From his end, Trump waged a fierce war against Biden, ridiculing even Biden’s slow manner of speaking due to old age. Trump drives off the rails, saying that 77-year-old Biden might not be mentally apt! Numerous people criticized Trump’s demeanor, claiming that he is only entitled to scorn his opponent’s policy, not his age, namely when Trump is 74.
“Will you Shut up, Man?”
In his first debate, Trump successfully managed to establish himself as the incurable interrupter of all times. This drove Biden to bluntly ask him to “shut up”, which marks one of the best moments of election debates over history. Trump poked fun at Biden’s habit of wearing a facial mask, saying: “I don’t wear face masks like him,” Trump said. “Every time you see him he’s got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away … and he shows up with the biggest mask I’ve ever seen.”
“Saturday Night Live” has returned in its Season 46 premiere with Jim Carrey portraying Biden and Alec Bedwin featuring Trump. The show satirized Trump’s manner of speaking over his opponent, personal insults, and mask remarks. Alec Bedwin’s Trump sheds light on Trump’s way of dismissing all concerns regarding the pandemic by assuring people that everything is just fine. “The China virus is a hoax” Alec Bedwin’s Trump declares, to which Jim Carrey’s Biden responds: “Imagine if science and karma could somehow team up to send us a message how dangerous this virus could be. I’m not saying I want it to happen, but just imagine it did.”
