1- Tell us about yourself, what you do and how you got started.

I am a civil engineer who works in a bank and also, a mother to a 9 year old child. I started racing 6 years ago as a hobby because I always love trying new sports like parachuting and kite surfing. Racing is the best sport for me because I have loved camping and safari ever since I was a child so I picked up the talent of racing and desert driving easily.

2-What was the hardest part of your journey so far? How have you overcome it?

My biggest obstacles were lack of knowledge, time management, the races outside Egypt, and of course the funds, but I overcame all of the obstacles with time and experience.

3- What motivates and drives you?

My passion. I love adventure and extreme sports. Being inside the car and hearing the word “GO” makes me very happy to the extent  that I forget everything around me. Passion and believing in yourself is what drives you.

4- Would you consider yourself a risk taker?

Yes! Of course I consider myself a risk taker. Because I know theses kind of sports are dangerous, need experience, and cost a lot of money, but I insist on doing them.

5- Were there any books that motivated you?

Not a specific one, I’m not into reading books that much. I love reading articles about specific topics.

6- Do you think your mind set has been a key to your success?

Yes, I always say that the key for success is to be passionate about what you are doing. Take your time and try everything until you find your ultimate passion.

7- What/who inspires you?

Those who had less abilities than me whether physically or financially and succeeded in their field, and those who can do more than one thing at the same time.

8- How do you deal with a bad day at work?

I put separators. I don’t let my work stress affect me at home nor my mood in races.

9- If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is starting out in the field, what would it be?

Before starting to do anything one must ask whether this is their real passion or not. If the answer is yes, then go for it and start seeking experience from professionals to gain more knowledge so you don’t waste money and time. 

10- What is your next big step?

2019 is a very promising year on work scale, also because the dream of world championship is getting closer.
