A Nostalgic feeling comes when you miss your childhood, childish habits you used to have, or childhood friends whom you haven\u2019t seen in years. The nostalgic memories pop in your head when you listen to songs you loved when you were little, eat a certain food you used to eat in the past, see a game or a toy you used to play with in your childhood, watching your old cartoons, see a picture or an old commercial of the candy you used to spend all your money on, and other stuff like that. So let\u2019s recall our childhood moments together.<\/em><\/p>\n

Candies<\/strong><\/h4>\n

That big circle<\/strong> shaped chocolate which was wrapped as a gold coin, it was so popular and children used to love it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Tiny Size gum from Chiclets<\/strong> that was in yellow packs. Chewing it was like eating all the sweet delicious fruits all in once.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Corona<\/strong> had a huge part and many moments in our childhood with their chocolate products. It was one of the first companies to produce chocolates with flavors, like mint, orange, strawberry, and others. Whenever we see it in the supermarkets we recall how it tastes, how different it was to eat chocolate with flavors for the first time, and it\u2019s beautiful that the company kept the old wrapping designs, it makes it easy to recognize once we spot it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Red Licorice<\/strong> Laces also known as Licorice Whips, or as we call it in Egypt \u201cShe3reya\u201d are as fun to play with as they are to eat. It was in all our school cafeterias, once we eat it, our tongues and lips turn into red, that\u2019s when we pretend to be \u201cDracula\u201d (old movie character) and scare each other.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s not forget about \u2018Nestl\u00e9\u2019 and its variety of products, for example:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Lion\u2019<\/strong> the crispy chocolate bar that was filled with caramel and crunchy rice. Some of us considered it as a cereal bar, whether this or that it was absolutely delicious and light.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u2018Smarties,\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0that small pieces of heaven that melts in your mouth. It added colors to our old days with its colorful milk chocolate in a crisp sugar shell candies.<\/p>\n

Jelly Cola<\/strong>, that little yellow packet was filled with joy and happiness. It was essential for all of us to eat one pack a day at least. Some choosy moms prevented their kids from drinking cola drinks, so eating Jelly Cola was their alternative.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Cadbury<\/strong> had that crunchy chocolate bar called \u2018Star\u2019, it was the best for many kids. When \u2018Cadbury\u2019 presented \u20185 Stars\u2019 to the market everyone thought that \u2018Star\u2019 will shine again, but we were disappointed. \u2018Star\u2019 is similar to \u2018Lion\u2019 (Nestle product). However, it had that different taste of the good old days. It\u2019s like the difference between Mandolin and Twix, or Jersey and Bounty. \u2018If you know you know.\u2019<\/p>\n

Cartoons<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What was the first thing you do once you get home after school? Doing your homework? Or open Spacetoon? If it\u2019s choice number two, then you should read this and retrieve these beautiful memories from your childhood.<\/p>\n

Remember \u2018Detective Conan<\/strong>\u2019, and the interesting cases in which you imagined that you were part of the cartoon or Conan\u2019s team and tried to solve the cases with him. Then when it turns out that the person you suspected to be guilty is the right suspect, you feel like you did a real achievement and become proud of yourself for that.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What about \u2018Pok\u00e9mon<\/strong>\u2019, and \u2018Ash Ketchum\u2019 (the main character) who was getting into epic battles with his unordinary Pok\u00e9mon \u2018Pikachu\u2019 against the other Pok\u00e9mons. Some of us got so addicted to the cartoon feeling angry and frustrated when Ash doesn\u2019t win during the Pok\u00e9mon League.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The cartoon that all girls were addicted to and wished to be one of the characters, \u2018Totally<\/strong> Spies<\/strong>\u2019. The three super girls who worked as undercover agents going in secret missions, fighting international crimes and battling evil to save the world.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Moving on to the anime movies that we still watch and enjoy till that moment, for example, \u2018Toy Story<\/strong>\u2019, and the battle of jealousy between \u2018Woody\u2019 and \u2018Buzz\u2019 Lightyear over Andy. The other characters who were confused by which side to pick, like Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Rex, and Sid.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The second anime movie that was also so popular and still is \u2018Lion King<\/strong>\u2019, it was one of the best anime movies of all time. This movie has a special place in our hearts, so as the characters, Simba, Timon, Bomba, Rafiki, even Scar who played an evil role in the movie. In addition to the songs which we still listen to, for instance, I Can\u2019t Wait to be King, The Circle of Life, and Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase. It also has some famous lines we can\u2019t forget, and when we watch the movie now we repeat it after the characters, especially Rafiki, he said so many wise words and quotes that we can\u2019t forget, for example, \u201cThe past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it\u201d and\u201cIt\u2019s the Circle of Life and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, \u2019til we find our place on the path unwinding.\u201d We learned a lot from that movie in our childhood, and the best thing is that it never gets old.<\/p>\n

This is how we spent our childhood, unlike the current generation, their faces are glued in their mobile phones and tablets. Unfortunately, they are not enjoying their childhood as we did. However, parents still can raise them the way we have been raised, on these beautiful cartoons and anime movies which will allow them to live their childhood the right way, and not to have the mind of a 30-year-old at the age of 7.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
