Al-Futtaim Real Estate (AFRE), Egypt\u2019s leading real estate developer, celebrated World Blood Donor Day, which falls on June 14 of every year, in collaboration with the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC). On this occasion, AFRE hosted a blood drive at \u201cThe Podium Offices\u201d at Cairo Festival City from 11am to 5pm on the following day.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the constant need for blood donation and encourage Cairo Festival City\u2019s community which included visitors, and CFC employees as well as employees from Allianz Egypt, Capgemini Egypt, and other leading corporations from the business district. The initiative encouraged donors to contribute to saving lives by restocking the public blood bank. ERC allocated four beds and a medical team to collect blood donations from volunteers.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), blood donation can save millions of lives every year and improve the health and quality of life of many patients.
