Easy Lunch Box Ideas

Is your child bored with eating the same thing day in day out? Or maybe you’re not sure what makes up a healthy well balanced lunch box? We hope the ideas below will give you all the inspiration you need for spicing up their lunches with a good mix of healthy meals. To help you provide healthy snacks for your child, here are a few easy suggestions.

Quesadillas

They’re kids’ favourites for a reason — and contrary to our adult biases, they don’t need to be piping hot to be delicious. Pack with: Avocado slices, pineapple chunks or tortilla chips.

French Toast

You can make French toast the night before and keep it in the fridge. Add some Turkey cubes and a milk carton for a full meal. The same can go for pancakes or waffles.

Pasta and Chicken Salad

It takes a couple of minutes to prepare. You can also add some red or yellow pepper or other veggies if that would appeal to your child. Add some grapes and a milk carton on the side.

Pizza
It takes 10 to 15 minutes to be ready and kids love it. The other kids would always try to exchange their lunches for your son’s pizza! Add a carton of juice and some dried apricots.

Wrap
Rolling sliced deli turkey, ham or roast beef around cheese sticks, cream cheese, and even veggies can change the way your kiddos think about lunch meat. On the side, you can add pretzels, apple slices or some grapes.

Leftovers
Pack some grilled chicken legs with hummus or mashed potato on the side. You can also add broccoli or carrots as well. And for dessert, you can add a brownie.

Classic PB&J
Pair a classic sandwich with classic sides like sliced apple or banana and some cookies and it’s the perfect lunch box for a sweet tooth.

Protein
Pack some scrambled or hardboiled eggs with pita bread and cheddar cheese slices and some carrot sticks, grapes or an orange.
