Tell us about yourself, what you do, and how you got started?

I am a TV and radio presenter, Master of Ceremonies (MC) and voice over. I have always wanted to be a TV presenter but did not know how, so I kept on asking everyone that if they could connect me with someone who could help show me the way. That was until I joined online radio in 2012, and that is where I’ve started.

What was the hardest thing you had to face in your journey?

The hardest part was when I used to audition weekly to programs from 2012 to 2015, and never got accepted. I lost hope and was so down. But it was all until I got a segment in 2016 on CBC. I’ve worked so hard to prove myself in this small segment, and I took it from there.

What motivates and drives you?

What drives me is that I’ve always had this dream ever since I was only five to help people in different ways, and it has always been my motivation to do this through my job.

Do you consider yourself a risk taker?

I am a Libra so, I am a bit hesitant about taking risks. I like to take my time to think before taking any action. So no, I do not consider myself a risk taker.

Do you think your mindset has been a key to your success?

I am a positive person no matter what life throws at me. I always take it with a good spirit. It helped me overcome so many obstacles, and to keep moving no matter what.

What would you say are the key elements to starting a successful business?

My key elements to success go as follows: Work hard, push your limits, and get out of that comfort zone. You’d be surprised of what you can achieve!

What or who inspires you the most?

Working mums inspire me the most! They have a lot on their plate. If they can do it, I can do it.

How do you deal with a bad day at work?

The nature of my job requires me to be in a good mood, so whatever happens I take a deep breath and smile no matter what. Then maybe I scream and cry when I go back home!

So far, what are you most proud of?

One thing I am really proud of is the World Youth Forum 2017, and my interview with his excellency president Abdelfattah Elsisi.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I work out, read, and go out with my friends whenever I get the chance.
