Work on a business plan, market analysis, marketing strategy & forecast financials. However, most importantly you need to be passionate about this business.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone who’s starting out in the field, what would it be?
Basically you need to make daily researches, study new designs and ideas till your mind becomes obsessed with decorations that you start picturing every venue you walk into as a setting for your next event.
What’s your next big step?
I’m planning to expand to the Dubai, Lebanon & Jordan and who knows maybe the whole middle east :) It will take time though...
Tell us about yourself, what you do and how you got started.
Well, I’m the founder of Yasmin Hany- Weddings & Events Planning. I’ve always been a marketer in big corporate companies and part of my job was to either plan or sponsor an event, which was the most exciting task of my job. I always wanted to have my own business since I was a kid but I never knew what it should be. Until one day one of my best friends trusted me with her wedding and it turned out to be pretty good. So, thanks to her and a couple of supportive friends; I decided to have my own events planning company.
What was the hardest part of your journey so far? How have you overcome it?
The day prior to the event is always the hardest; I get so stressed, my mind keeps thinking of every single thing that might go wrong and how I should solve it; then I end up sleepless for 2 days till I see the out come and realize that it was worth the pain
